CHARITIES FAIR RAISES OVER £1,700 FOR CHARITY
As Wimborne in Bloom approaches the 33rd anniversary of its foundation members once again organised the Annual Charities Fair although this year there was a change of venue. It was held in the King Street Community Centre which resulted in less space being available for the normal number of tables sold. Twelve Charities and Organisations manning seventeen tables participated in the event including Wimborne in Bloom which had its usual Hamper Raffle. For the fifth successive year the weather was fine but numbers attending were down on last year although this has been the trend over the last couple of years. Importantly over £1,700 was raised by the various charities and although the entrance was free courtesy of Wimborne in Bloom donations given by the Public amounted to over £110.
