2017 Annual Spring Coffee Morning Raises Nearly £500

As Wimborne in Bloom's 25th Anniversary Year continues the Annual Spring Coffee Morning was held at the home of Anthony and Christine Oliver on Saturday (20th May). The weather, which always plays a vital part in this event, looked decidedly on the dull side with rain spots in the air but in the end it stayed dry until the deluge just after the close of what had been a very successful morning with £484 being raised towards this years "In Bloom" Campaign. This was the highest amount at the Spring Coffee Morning for five years.

"It is a splendid total" said Richard Nunn, Chairman of Wimborne in Bloom after the event. He thanked everyone for their support and all those that helped and donated items for the raffle, bring and buy and the plant stall and indeed gave donations if they were unable to attend.

The newly elected Town Mayor Cllr Terry Wheeler, who has very kindly nominated Wimborne in Bloom as one of his charities this year, attended and drew the raffle. He was accompanied by his wife Pauline.
