2015 Annual Spring Coffee Morning Raises Over £400

The Annual Spring Coffee Morning held at the home of Anthony and Christine Oliver on Saturday morning (16th May) raised £446. On a fine sunny morning around a hundred people attended and in spite of a cool breeze some sat out and enjoyed the garden. A bring and buy stall and a raffle helped to swell the proceeds all of which will be used towards this years 'In Bloom' Campaign.

The next Wimborne in Bloom event is the Wimborne Open Gardens Day on Sunday 28th June. Around 20 gardens will be open in and around the Town. There are a number of new ones, some returning after an absence and some regulars. Refreshments will be available at some of the venues.

Judgement Day for the Town in the Regional Competition is on Friday 10th July with the local competition taking place during the week commencing Monday 20th July. Entry forms will be available shortly.

This year is also the 'big one' as the Town is competing in the National Britain in Bloom finals. Judgement date is Tuesday 4th August. We need all the help possible to ensure this year that the Town is looking its very best throughout the summer. It would be splendid to once again lift the National Small Town Trophy as we did on the last occasion we were entered nationally in 2012.
